Symposium "The Unity of Research and Teaching in the Digital Age"

4.5.2017, 10:00-15:30, Aula, Campus Stendal, #SEFL17

The Magna Charta Universitatum of 1988 once again defined the role of universities as an autonomous social core institution and later initiated the Bologna process of harmonising European higher education. The unity and freedom of research and teaching, also known as Humboldt’s ideal of education, is centrally emphasized.  At this symposium, we will ask how this unity and freedom can be translated into concrete projects in today’s working environment of professors and scientists, but also what benefits our students and the digital society derive from it.
